We became aware of certain fraud schemes recently in which scammers impersonate employees or partners of lDG capital in an attempt to conduct fraudulent activities. We would like to remind the public to stay vigilant and alert to fake smartphone apps such as "IDG Capital APP", websites and business cards that claim to represent IDG Capital, IDG VC, IDG Venture Capital, IDG Investor, our employees or partners in various fraudulent and illegal activities involving brushing and task-completion scam, financing, fund raising, project investment, wealth management, stock or option investment, training and recruitment.

Additionally it has come to our attention that certain parties are fabricating and circulating misleading information concerning IDG Capital and its executive leadership.

Please be reminded that IDG Capital releases information only through its official website at IDG Capital (https://en.idgcapital.com/). Any other information source that claims to represent IDG Capital is fraudulent and illegal.

We have never released any information about the aforesaid activities in the name of lDG Capital or any of our affiliates outside of the abovementioned official channels. Furthermore, we have not authorized any third-party organizations or individuals to conduct business on behalf of, or in the name of, lDG Capital or our affiliates.

Any organization or individual is prohibited from impersonating IDG Capital or our employees or using IDG brands, trademarks, trade names or logos without authorization. For any illegal activities conducted in the name of our company or our employees, we reserve the rights to take legal action against such activities.

It has come to our attention that misunderstandings regarding the brand identity of IDG Capital persist among certain partners and media outlets. To reiterate, IDG Capital has been independent of, and separately operated from, International Data Group (IDG) since 2017 after IDG Capital acquired IDG’s entire investments business from IDG. There is no longer any affiliation between IDG Capital and IDG’s publishing, data research, and exhibition activities. IDG Capital independently owns its investment brands and trademarks globally.

Furthermore, Mr. Hugo Shong, founding partner of IDG Capital, no longer holds any positions at IDG or its affiliates and represents only IDG Capital in all his public engagements.
